Proxy card
Trading card games are played with unique sets of cards that are purchased as a collectible item or randomly in packs. Each card has varying degrees of value and purpose in developing strategies to be used in a game. Either purchasing a unique card directly or hoping to find the best cards in a pack, sometimes a player is financially incapable of acquiring a wanted card.
Proxy cards are used when, having the actual card is cost or time prohibitive, another card is accepted as a substitute.
